#TBT: Celebrating Perfect Attendance During Attendance Awareness Month
It was a proud moment when I came home from school one afternoon with a certificate awarding my perfect attendance in 3rd grade.
In my house, going to school was mandatory. There were rarely exceptions to missing a day, and I always knew I was expected to show up each morning ready to learn.
Plus, I loved going to Mrs. Parisian’s 3rd grade classroom at Browning Elementary School on Montana’s Blackfeet Indian Reservation. She always made learning fun, and I’d actually be excited for Friday afternoon spelling tests.
