Watch: Commemorating Constitution Day In Montana
Today, 228 years after the signing of the U.S. Constitution, Superintendent Denise Juneau and members of her staff commemorate Constitution Day by reciting the words of the preamble.
“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
Constitution Day is an excellent reminder of the importance of civics education in our public schools.
